Trick Star 1 – Online Class

Tricks are great for dogs of all ages and abilities! Your dog will have so much fun they won’t even notice that they are also learning self control, focus, and important foundation skills. These skills will help your dog become better at responding to you and impress your friends. Tricks will also help prepare your dog for obedience or agility in the comfort of your own home.

If you are looking for more of a challenge, Check out our Trick Star 2 class!

Tricks covered will include

  • get in a box/basket
  • play dead
  • push
  • paw
  • weave thru legs
  • and several more

The class is designed to be completed over 4 weeks and will include detailed written and video instructions. But you can go as fast or slow as you like.

If your dog already knows lots of tricks but you would like to brush up on foundation skills, we will discuss stimulus control and discrimination so your dog is not wildly offering various tricks. If for any reason a trick is not appropriate for your dog, for example, because of physical limitations, I will be happy to offer an alternative trick.

As some of you may know, I have been participating in an online dog training class with MacTavish, our 3-year-old, Golden. It has been a  wonderful experience! Nancy Liebhauser, the trainer, is excellent! She provides both written and video instruction and she provides feedback as you work though the tricks.
If you have wanted to try some training with your dog, but trying to get your pup ready and then drive to and from a training class at a specific time just doesn't work with your busy schedule - I cannot recommend this one highly enough!

I have been doing 5-10 minute sessions with MacTavish several times during the day and it is working out very well. He doesn't get tired or bored and I don't have to try to carve out large chunks of time (that I really don't have) to work with him.

If you have been looking for a way to get working with your dog; give this a try, I bet you'll really enjoy it and so will your dog!

Thank you Nancy, for such a fantastic opportunity!! This has been great fun for both MacTavish and me!
